The Tiger Forces and their allies have liberated the farms of Nijm, Nisr and al-Safar, as well as the Nar Hill (Tal Nar) in southern Idlib. By this advance, government forces made another step in a long road to cut off the M5 highway and encircle the town of Khan Shaykhun and other militant positions to the south of it.

urkish-US safe zone center in NE Syria to begin work next week – Ankara Published time: 16 Aug, 2019 16:59 Edited time: 16 Aug, 2019 17:08 Get short URL

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar (L) and the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, US Air Force General Tod Wolters, speak at a NATO meeting in Brussels, Belgium, June 26, 2019. © Reuters / Francois Walschaerts / File Photo 7 Follow RT on A joint Turkish-US operations center, which will establish and manage a safe zone in northeast Syria, will be fully operational next week, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said on Friday. “The joint operation center will start working with full capacity next week,” Anadolu quoted Akar as saying. The minister said that Turkish and US officials have agreed that Syrian Kurdish YPG militia fighters should be removed from the area and their heavy weaponry should be taken, according to Reuters. The US and Turkey have been at odds over plans for northeastern Syria, where the YPG had formed the main part of a US-backed force that fought against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL). Turkey considers the YPG a terrorist group and its enemy. Ankara and Washington have also agreed in general terms about control and coordination of the airspace in the region, Akar said.

The SAA has to open a new front in in Southeastern Idlib. It seems like they can’t advance at Tal Tari, so they simply could attack the terrorists east of Sahal and advance parallel to the west. The SAA could then push further north to liberate Hesh. Then they will meet at Hesh and can clean the entire pocket, as almost no major town will be located inside of it.

Please move straight up to Idlib, Efrin and finally to Bulbul village at Syrian Turkish border. Please don’t turn left and right. Liberate at least 10 villages per day to reach to Bulbul with in few months.

Great progress by SAA. Expect move against route M5 next, this map may be outdated very soon. Pouncing tiger to the north: :) https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/a3d2c0e48c9c1ee5bfdb12b30df04a9226016649f3d09fa6f16c6984267ec197.jpg

The SAA isn’t far from the M5 now. Once that’s closed to the Yinon plan regime change terrorists it’s going to push terrorist resupy convoys further east making them more vulnerable to heavy weapons interdiction from SAA controlled territory.

bravo SAA glory for president bashar el assad!!

I’m really impressed with how the SAA have become a disciplined, professional force since the Russians arrived. No other Arab army has been able to get this kind of combat experience and to get it under the direct tutelage of the Russians to boot. They are training the core of a very effective ground army in Idlib.

Here’s the range for T-72 ammo types from a tank sitting on Tal Nar. Looks like fire control of the M4&5 rat escape route (looks like a grey wall in graphic).https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/8965ffaeead21c92486ce23684344a811673929e952ae0f36bee258b3802011d.jpg
