Map Update: US-backed Forces Advance On ISIS Positions In Hajin Pocket

Support SouthFront

This map provides a general look at the military situation in the area of Hajin in the Syrian province of Deir Ezzor where the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are advancing on ISIS positions.

The SDF kicked off its advance on Hajin about three weeks ago, However, so far, the SDF has not been able to deliver a devastating blow to the terrorist group there even with massive support from the US-led coalition.

LOL, USA just pushing for some indication of what Russia will do once ISIS defeated. This ‘pocket’ will be there till idlib falls. Everybody has the gut feeling that Russia, Turkey and Iran have something very special planned for SDF. As soon as ISIS is defeated then USA have to go home, or tell the truth why they are there, SDF are still a terrorist organisation

Ivan Freely

Turkey, out of the three nations, have the biggest gripe against the Kurds.

Red Pilled ThoughtCrimes

Meh, they wont give back any syrian land and threw in with the yanks. operation olive branch smashed them. Turkey and Iran are eager to wipe SDF off the face of the earth. Russia and Syria want the USA proxies and the USA out of Syria

Thunder

wrong again..go pick up ur cheque slave

Bill Wilson

Russia and Syria don’t want the US to leave since neither one of them are capable of keeping Turkey from invading the north.

Red Pilled ThoughtCrimes

the north? have you seen a map of Syria? Turkey will be the ones helping move the US out of the region. SDF proxy forces are kurdish remember.. hated by turks. and if they wont give syrian land back, it will turn out the same for SDF as Afrin did

Thunder

nope…to many powerful forces at work here besides them, have faith

occupybacon

They already said they are staying to counteract Iran, regardless isis fate

Bob

US forces in Syria amount to small contingents of SOF, and logistics personal in north east to run air strips, if the SDF gets pulled out from under them – by Russia, Turkey and Iran – then US forces will be very exposed occupiers in a hostile state – basically in an unsustainable position.

occupybacon

That’s a good example of wishful thinking.

Israel are neither Jew nor Christian nor Muslim but disguised as Jew and are anti semitic abusing Jewish religion..

Rob

The US and UK war on Syria is for oil and gas.

Red Pilled ThoughtCrimes

i thought it was because we are knts

Effectively for saving the DOMINACE OF THE USA WITH ITS outstanding, illegal privilege of having a PETRODOLLAR! I hope the crash beginns before the war turns into a WW3. Then nobody has any money left. That’s not nice, but better than blowing up the planet with all of us mankind.

Feudalism Victory

Syrians should be ready for fighting and fighters moving into their territory get into the desert.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

3 weeks, it’s been closer to 3 months since the US/SDF first turned their gaze on this group. It took the coalition forces [the Iraqi’s helping with air and artillery support], just over 2 weeks to eradicate Isis from the Al-Hasakah/Dier ez-Zor area, killing and capturing 400+ Isis fighters, and dispersing the remaining 4,500+ fighters to who knows where. If they could do that to 5,000 fighters hiding in an area 20 times as large, why can’t they get rid of only 1,500 fighters here in this small pocket [which’s only 30km long and 15-20km wide], in even less time. Most of the fighting so far has been in the nearby countryside and not in the urban areas at all, so as far as the safety of civilians being an issue here, it hasn’t been apart from one incident so far. No I don’t think that US concerns for the safety of civilians is an issue here at all, I think there’s another agenda altogether, Abu Kamal across the river in the safe hands of the SAA might have something to do with it though. The US concerned for the welfare of civilians, LOL.

Rob

Israel are neither Jew nor Christian nor Muslim but disguised as Jew and are anti semitic abusing Jewish religion.

Fred

Elsewhere the US has been allowing their ISIS proxies to escape or redeploy into the SDF or other “more moderate” terrorist groups, while the US and Israel all along have been supplying them and giving them medical treatment. So if in fact the US backed SFD is actually attacking ISIS insurgents in this region then you have to ask why? Well look at the map and you will see that this is an oil producing area of Syria and their is now likely ISIS factions fighting to continue controlling the wells for their own gain. The deal the US, UK and Israeli cabal made with them was that they were to “occupy” those oil fields and not keep them.
