On September 7, pro-government forces, led by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) 5th Assault Corps, re-captured the villages of Abu Dali, Kawkab Suwayd, Habr Gharbiyah, Rasm Hamidah and Dabat Milli from ISIS terrorists in the eastern Hama countryside.
The SAA and its allies also repelled an ISIS attack north of Uqayribat. This allowed government troops to continue developing momentum in the area and to push further in the direction of the ISIS-held village of Soha.
