Ropucha-class landing ship Olenegorskiy Gornyak
On August 4, the NATO-backed Kyiv regime carried out a massive drone attack on the Russian Republic of Crimea and the port city of Novorossiysk. The attack on Crimea involved at least 13 UAVs. Russian air defense facilities destroyed ten plane-type UAVs, while “three more drones were suppressed by electronic warfare”.
“An attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack by aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles on facilities of the Crimean peninsula was foiled last night. Ten UAVs were destroyed by air defence facilities on duty. Three more enemy drones were suppressed by means of electronic warfare. There were no casualties or damage as a result of the foiled terrorist attack,” the Russian military said in a statement.
The attack led to no casualties or damage.

Separately, a massive naval drone strike targeted the Black Sea port city of Novorossiysk in Krasnodar Region. In a brief statement, the Russian Defense Ministry revealed that patrol vessels engaged and destroyed two incoming naval drones.
“Tonight the AFU carried out an attempt to attack the naval base in Novorossiysk by two unmanned sea boats. In the course of repelling the attack, the unmanned boats were detected and destroyed by fire from the standard weapons of Russian ships guarding the outer harbour of the naval base.”
Local governor reported that there were no casualties or damage in the city as result of the attack. At the same time, photos and videos from the ground demonstrate that Ropucha-class landing ship Olenegorskiy Gornyak suffered damage in the attack.
Patrol boat Suvorovets also was in the area of the attack and reportedly destroyed one of the naval drones in the area of Myskhako.
The increased frequency of naval drone attacks on patrol boats of similar types could indicate that they lack capabilities to easily repel such attacks. To counter them, crews have only two 14.5mm heavy machine guns and an AK-176MA gun. These are effective weapons against a single naval drone, but they would not allow to repel a massive strike.
In recent weeks, the Kyiv regime with an apparent NATO assistance increased attempts to carry out drone strikes on Russian territories as well as strike vessels and port cities using naval drones. Most of these attacks have been intercepted by Russian defense systems. Russia also says that NATO-backed forces used the grain corridors established during the collapsed grain deal to stage attacks.
On August 2, Kyiv tried to attack a Russian military ship which was escorting a civilian vessel in the Black Sea with a naval drone. A similar attack was reported on August 1. It reportedly involved three naval drones targeting civilian Russian vessels sailing towards the Bosphorus. In both cases, the attacks were repelled.
Nonetheless, there are little doubts that attacks will continue as long as Kyiv has simple access to the Black Sea. So, the fate of the port infrastructure and any similar facilities located close to the Black Sea and controlled by Kyiv seems to be predetermined.

absolutely correct. the capturing of the black sea coast up to odessa + transnistria should have top priority. then all black sea naval ops could have been disabled. at times rus negligence is shocking, and just encourages z & nato to try again.

i wonder what the russians will say when all drone fields in ukraine and all naval facilities are destroyed and the air and naval drones keep comming.
will they then admit that they never came from ukraine but from nato air fields next to ukraine, nato naval ships in the black sea and nato black sea ports? either fight them head on or surrender…
i expected this to occur back in 2011 when i saw how evil nato nations are in libya. the us uk france are begging to be nuked off of the planet and i live in the uk. is there some way of taking out all of the hostile bases and nukes world wide? is there a way to prevent and threaten nato to stop its belligerence and piracy?

1 not seizing the port of odessa which has been used a base for attacks and resupply of weapons from both the sea and land
2: not securing the city of donetsk over a year later and ukraine is still able to launch artillery attacks against the city that is absurd
