Media War 18+: Ukrainian Propaganda Cranks Out Fakes To Hide Military Crimes

As required by modern warfare, Kiev is fighting on different fronts, both for territories and for public opinion. Trained by experienced Western warmongers, Ukrainian propaganda relies on lies and does everything possible to denigrate Russia and its military. One of the most effective means that Kiev has mastered best is the dissemination of fakes, including at the official level. The professionalism of Ukrainian propagandists leaves much to be desired, but it does not matter, since Kiev‘s lies are widely supported by the entire network of controlled Western MSM. The stage of Bucha tragedy was one of the most illustrative examples.

The Ukrainian propagandists are staging discrediting videos both in the rear and on the frontlines. In May, servicemen of the Chechen Akhmat special forces discovered a special ‘studio’ in the Ukrainian military positions in the forest area south of Kremennaya, where heavy battles are still ongoing. There, Ukrainians shot fake videos about their victories and Russian losses. After the Aida group of the Akhmat special forces completed the mop up operation in the area and took control of one of Ukrainian strongholds, they discovered the studio used by the Center for Information and Psychological Operations of Ukraine. Russian servicemen found dummy bodies in the Russian uniform, helmets, bulletproof vests and other stuff necessary to film videos about the fake victories of the Ukrainian army.

Some of the staged videos shot by Ukrainian propagandists are quite difficult to uncover, but in response, various Russian military experts are making every effort to show the truth about Ukrainian reports from the front. Numerous fakes of Ukrainian propaganda are revealed daily, but they are silenced by the MSM. Some of the footage is aimed at glorifying the Ukrainian army, while other videos stage the alleged crimes of Russian servicemen.

For example, the following video was recently published online. A Ukrainian reconnaissance drone allegedly filmed a small Ukrainian FPV drone strike on a group of three Russian soldiers. After one of the “Russians” was wounded, his comrade allegedly shot him.

A closer look allows to reveal that the video does not show the real attack. Russian military observers noted that the mining area is seen on the ground where the FPV struck, where an explosive was planted and sprinkled with sand. The two of the alleged Russian stormtroopers are surprisingly unarmed during a combat operation. All of them have very clean uniform and clean hands. The propagandists clearly showed AK–12 riffle that is used only by the Russian military. This important detail should serve a clear evidence. The drone strikes are usually supported by the footage from the FPV drones themselves, which confirms them approaching a target; but this video was not supported by such a video and it was not found online in open sources. There is no blood seen, including on the most vulnerable uncovered hands of the wounded.

Russian servicemen have already demonstrated the high level of their training aimed to protect them from enemy UAVs. A lot of Russian servicemen were filmed winning the battles against Ukrainian FPV drones. You may find the examples here, here, here. However, on the staged video, the ‘Russians’ did not notice the enemy reconnaissance UAV that was operating at a very low altitude and they did not even try to open fire on the approaching FPV drone. Fighters should hear and see the drone moving at low speed. The third servicemen with a rifle is seen marching calmly and taking no measures to protect the group.

A lot of similar fake videos are spread by Ukrainian propaganda, mainly through the social networks, including those popular in Russia. The content is published in numerous fake public channels that pretend to be pro-Russian but were created in Ukraine and show the fake Russian defeats in order to spread panic and discontent.

The fake video of Russian servicemen allegedly killing their wounded comrades was timely published in an attempt to hide Ukrainian crimes. This video is Kiev’s response to the recently revealed series of evidence confirming Ukrainian barrier squads killing their brothers-in-arms.

A lot of Ukrainian prisoners of war complained that they were shelled by Ukrainian artillery when their military positions were captured by Russian servicemen. A lot of them confirmed that there are barrier squads operating in Ukrainian rear, hunting on retreating soldiers. The operations of barrier squads was also confirmed by the footage from the front. In late June, one of the commanders of the Azov Nazi Battalion gave an interview to a Ukrainian TV channel. The militant confirmed that there are some “motivational troops”  that help to prevent the retreat of other Ukrainian units.

“They had to be motivated. Then my squad, I was then the commander of a 500–man squad, was evenly deployed along a 25–kilometer line,“ the Ukrainian militant was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, the footage from the front confirmed new crimes of the Ukrainian military.

Two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded by Russian grenades dropped from the drones on Ukrainian military positions. Russian servicemen noticed that one of the wounded raised his hands and decided to surrender. The operator of the drone lowered the altitude, made sure that the enemy noticed the UAV and showed with the movements of the drone that it was necessary to follow him to go to the Russians positions. On his way to Russian positions, the wounded stopped and ate grass. He had no water.

The Russian military attempted to save his life but the Ukrainian military did not allow the wounded to surrender alive. The Ukrainians began dropping grenades from the UAVs in front of him and opened fire with mortars. Firstly, the Ukrainians tried to turn him back. After walking 1.5 km, the wounded approached the Russian positions. At that very moment, he was killed by Ukrainian drone. 

The following day, Russian drones discovered that the wounded survived the attack. He was heavily wounded but his corps was still warm. The Russians threw him a radio station and a bottle of water. The Russians told him that it was a Ukrainian drone that attacked him and that the Russians will try to evacuate him. Unfortunately, he soon died of his wounds. 

The name of the servicemen is Sergey “Vorobey“, 43 years old. He served in the 23rd battalion of the special forces of the Territorial Defense of Ukraine.

Ukraine has again accused the Russian military of its own crimes, lying that all reports and evidence are fake.
