A missile used to shoot down Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 over East Ukraine in 2014 came from the Rusian military, Wilbert Paulissen, head of the crime squad of the Netherlands’ national police, said told a press conference organized by the Dutch-led Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on May 24.
According to Paulissen, the missile was launched by the Buk TELAR belonging to the Russian Armed Forces’ 53rd Anti-Aircraft Brigade.
“The JIT has come to the conclusion that the Buk TELAR by which the MH17 was downed originated from the 53rd Anti-Aircraft Missile Bridage, or the 53rd Bridage, from Kursk in the Russian Federation,” Paulissen said.
According to this version, the Buk TELAR was allegedly delivered to the area in eastern Ukraine, which was beyond not controlled by Kiev at the time of the incident and subsequently returned to Russia after the crash.
However, Dutch Chief Prosecutor Fred Westerbeke stated the investigation team will not disclose the evidence allegedly uncovered.
“We have more evidence and more information to back the conclusions made today, but we will not make them public at this time,” he said.
Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down over the conflict zone in Ukraine’s Donbass region on July 17, 2014. All 298 people on board were killed. The Ukrainian government, the US and their allies immediately accused Russia of being behind the incident. Since then, the investigation has been ongoing.
The Russian side rejects its involvement in the MH17 crash dismissing the accusations as baseless.

I’m perfectly willing to believe that a Russian supplied Buk launcher brought down MH-17by accident, and that Russia has been throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the investigators to divert attention. Be that from your local football club to a multinational, to a government agency to governments itself. Getting them to admit the truth is like pulling teeth. Given that noone can answer as to WHY Russia would send a lone BUK into rebel held Ukraine, I see zero reason to believe this BS. The scenario is nonsensical.

Here’s the way I see it: – War breaks out in Ukraine – UaF bombs Russian sponsored rebels – Russians decide to even the odds by supplying some SAMs to the rebels. – Rebels accidentally down MH-17 – Russians go WTF and go into panic mode – Rather then admit a mistake and why a Russian supplied SAM system was in rebel territory they go into damage limitation mode, deny that it happened and launch a thousand conspiracy theories to divert the narrative.
Occam’s Razor. Always go for the most simple plausible explanation. It’s not like the Russians are saints and only the West does things like this. I can understand that a stupid mistake was made. I can also understand that the Russians by now have dug a deep hole for themselves, by denying for so long and trying to obfuscate what happened that to admit it now would mean serious loss of face. The pilot was ordered to take that route by Kiev. It may well have been misidentification, the Ukrainians believing it was Putin’s plane.

I suggest reading multiple media sources on the JIT and I bet almost all reports in MSM will not mention the full composition of the JIT, only that it is Dutch led. While I do not believe the omission was intentional, even Southfront leaves out this critical information.
The only nation that might be considered independent and motivated to determine the true cause for the downing of MH17 is Malaysia. But Malaysia, being restricted to observer status, did not have a hand in authoring any investigative report of the JIT. In the article, the Ukrainian ambassador to Malaysia states: “Ukraine remains committed with Malaysia to get to the bottom of this.”
Well this would explain why Russia cannot be part of the JIT as it would interfere with Ukraine’s commitment to Malaysia to “get to the bottom of this”. And given Ukraine (and the US), before the JIT was even constituted, had already made public their conclusions of who was responsible – Russia, we can be quite certain that “getting to the bottom of this” can only lead to one result.
To add to the absurdity of this, since Malaysia has only observer status, the ambassador is really saying that Ukraine remains committed TO Malaysia to get to the bottom of this. Considering that Ukraine is among the list of suspects in the downing of MH17, we now have one of the murder suspects telling the family of the victim that they will find the perpetrator!
Whether or not Russia (or whoever) was culpable in the downing of MH17 is not relevant to what I am saying here. What I am saying is that the make-up of the JIT since it’s inception renders any findings it reports to have NO credibility given the gross conflicts of interest involving the authors.
