Following the liberation of the Rashidin 4 district, Syrian government forces took control of the village of Khan Asal in western Aleppo. Both these areas had been in the hands of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) and its allies.
Now, units of the Syrian Army and Iranian-backed militias are working to clear Mughayr, Kafr Jum Sharghi and nearby points from remaning members of al-Qaeda-linked groups. As soon as this is done, the Syrian Army will get a full control of the M4 (Aleppo-Damascus) highway for the first time in the approximately 8 years.
Meanwhile, the Turkish Defense Ministry continued spreading its fairy tales in Twitter. Just recently, it claimed that 51 ‘regime fighters’ were ‘neutralized’, and 2 tanks, an gun position and an weapon depot belonging to the Syrian military were destroyed in Idlib clashes. It remains unclear where Ankara takes this numbers. The most likely scenario is that it just made up these numbers.

No that was an MI-8 utility helicopter. This one is an MI-24 Hind attack chopper and was blasting the headchoppers near Aleppo and supporting Hezbollah anti-terrorist operations.

It was lie obviously as the SAA quickly displayed the MI-24 at Marj Ruhayyil airbase. It had been hit by a manpad but the very skilled pilots brought it back to base. It is a testament to the robust nature of Russian weaponry that just keeps on running even after a manpad hit. Any western helicopter would have broken up in pieces.

The MI-24 Hind is a very good assault chopper and the only one that fields 8 fully armed troops. The Mi-24 was the first Russian helicopter developed as both an assault transport and a gunship. It pilots are quite well protected with bullet resistant glass and armor plating . The Mi-24 “Hind” helicopter is one of the most deadly and versatile aircraft on the planet.
For 30 years, the gunship has given the Russian military incredible battlefield mobility. Russian military has learnt a lot from its various battlefield experiences and has upgraded this helicopter to make it safer and more effective. The real flying tank is the SU-25 Frogfoot which is almost impossible to shoot down.

Russia has learnt a lot from the earlier Hinds experience in 1980’s Afghanistan. The modern ones use chaff, flares and ECM and are mostly invulnerable to most manpads. The Syrian anti-terror operation has been the best battlefield advertising for Russian weaponry. It works, it is robust, easy to maintain and very affordable.
This helicopters are really tough
They are simple design, dating back to the original classic Russian weaponry like the T-34 tank, AK-47 assault rifle, BTR armored personnel carriers, the RPG etc. Russian weapons are easy to operate by any kind of soldier and have very few parts that need servicing. Even the dumbass Americunts use AK-47 and Russian MI-17 choppers not mention space rockets as they are the best. Americunt M-16 jams after a few rounds and has too many parts. Russian weapons design is focused on the ease of use and durability.
