Militants’ Drones Attack Syrian Army Positions In Southern Idlib, Injure Several Soldiers

Militants’ armed drones have attacked Syrian Arab Army (SAA) positions in the southern Idlib countryside, Maj. Gen. Yury Borenkov, chief of the Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria announced on December 19.

“Armed drones belonging to the militants dropped bombs on Syrian military positions east of the city of Khan Shaykhun in Idlib countryside today’s morning, Thursday, as a result two Syrian service members were injured,” Maj. Ge. Borenkov said in a statement.

According to the Russian commander, armed drones also carried out two attacks on Khan Shaykun town’s center. However, no one was injured or killed.

Local observers believe that al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) is responsible for these drone attacks, which began less than a year ago.

Such provocations have forced the SAA to launch a large-scale military operation in southeast Idlib. The operation is aimed at reopening the strategic M5 highway, which links Aleppo with the country’s capital, Damascus.

Chinese envoy stresses political settlement for Syrian crisis

China’s special envoy for Syria Xie Xiaoyan said here on Wednesday that a political settlement is the only way out for the Syrian crisis and all parties involved should unite their efforts to this end. “The sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria must be respected and upheld. The future of Syria must be left in the hands of the Syrian people. Let them independently decide their own future,” he told a news briefing at the Chinese embassy.

Karma struck back. A woman in NYC was struck and killed by debris falling from a NYC high rise. Many of America’s buildings, roads, docks, and bridges are decaying at an alarming pace and need repaired and rebuilt. Yet, American tax dollars, yanked out of the economy by Congress, are going to help Jihadi street gangs build and arm drones in Syria. This is a certain indicator that people in Congress, at the White House and the Pentagon, as well as the CIA and the State Department have no sense and no heart.
