Militants in 11 settlements in southern Syria have surrendered to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on June 24.

These settlements are Khabab, Khirbat Al Msap, Jerfi, Asem, Sheikh Gharbiya, Sheikh Sharki, Al Shumariya, Hirbat az Zababir, Deir-Dama, Al Shiyakh and Jadal.

The defense ministry added that by the end of June 23 these settlements had been under full control of the SAA. Militants in these areas joined government forces to combat terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra (now known as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham) and ISIS.

According to some sources the number of the former members of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) – a general brand used by non-ISIS and non-Nusra groups – that joined the SAA is about 900.

Earlier, the Russian military claimed that about 1,000 members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham attacked positions of government forces at Dama and Deir-Dama in the province of Daraa. The attack was reportedly repelled. 5 Syrian troops were killed and 19 others were injured.

Good to read this although, while cleaning SW Syria, these ex-FSA recruits to Syrian Arab Army should be in a position to assist greatly on basis of their local intel, SAA must proceed with caution until such time as these FSA recruits prove themselves both capable and loyal.

Bill Wilson

That’s the reason why the SAA brought them aboard. Those militias have been battling al-Nusra, HTS and the ISIS wannabes for years while leaving the government forces alone. They’re anxious to eliminate those extremists just as the Syrian government.

Lena Jones

Respect and kudos to the SAA and Russian troops! Don’t stop your righteous drive till you’ve cleaned out the fake-jew trash in occupied Golan.

Gregory Casey

Although I agree they should cleanse the Golan the Syrians should probably ensure they have first cleansed East of the Euphrates of both ISIS and US Forces all the way to the Iraqi Border before they even consider the Golan. Moreover, Syria also needs to deal with the Jihadists in Idlib and with Erdogan’s puppets along the Turkish border.

Joe Dirt

Good luck with Golan never gonna happen LOL

Lena Jones

No need for luck when you’re fighting jewish cowards LOL

j. jaxson

you got that right. they are good at murdering children.

But those “Israeli”-ᛋᛋ-Force swamp rats are scared sh*tless of a real opponent: the last time they faced one, Hezbollah in 2006 in Lebanon, they got a thrashing such that they had to beg for a truce.

Trauma2000

Glory to Hezbollah…

Trauma2000

… Children trapped behind barbed wire.

Drogba

Good luck with greater israhellI, it’s never going to happen,LOL

Joe

Israel already in panic with Hez and Iran ….putting a brave face like you

temujin1970

The chosenite Zionist scum are only good at murdering defenceless woman and children. SCUMBAGS!.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Hey Squirt glad you realize Israel’s days are numbered in the Golan Heights and elsewhere. Politically they are a hot potato that everyone but the US and UK don’t want to deal with.

Joe Dirt

When did i agree that Israel’s days are number?

To clarify, Israel will NEVER lose Golan.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

It will happen their fate is foretold and they know Yeshua has abandoned them, problem with those who are fickle.

Trauma2000

And planted a Palestinian flag on a big chunk of ZioStolen Palestinian territory. IsraHell have claimed they need a ‘ buffer zone ‘ to keep them safe. Well, I believe that Syria and Lebanon need a Buffer Zone to keep them safe from Zio-Terrorists. And this buffer zone will be peopled by peace loving Palestinians recognised by the UN as the rightful inhabitants of their land.

AJ

I’m sure the US will be happy to see FSA defections to the SAA lol

Bill Wilson

I’m sure the US military told the moderate FSA militias that it would be the practical thing to do if they wanted to see the fighting end sooner.

Rob

All nations know that Palestine and Yemen are blockade.

Trump and Netanyahu both keeping children and women starve there, for reducing their populations and taking their lands.

These wars have not started by children and women so then why they dragging these children and women in these wars.

Therefore, China, Russia, Pakistan and Iran must help these children and women otherwise history will never forgive these nations that could help them but due to US blood money they ignored them. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Joe

Remember though Hamas help the terrorists against Hezbollah and Syrians before ….

Rob

Majority of Palestinians including Hamas, Fatah etc are supporting Syrian government, IRGC, Hezbullah and now fighting shoulder by shoulder with SAA against Israeli terrorists in Syria.

#'~A*QXm(>NRmm]w?dU4v!=^

When was that? What evidence do you have on that?

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Hamas supported FSA and Jaysh al Fateh from the beginning leadership has been slow to change as usual.

#'~A*QXm(>NRmm]w?dU4v!=^

I repeat: what evidence do you have for that?

Sinbad2

Telling others to help, when you could also help, but don’t, is a bit hypocritical don’t you think? Hop on a plane, join the fight, risk your life, then lecture others.

Rob

Tell me, how I can join the fight when I am 7,000 miles away from Palestine and Yemen?

Sinbad2

Never heard of the aeroplane?

Rob

King Abdullah of Jordan doing the same mistake what Turkey and Pakistan have done before. Giving logistic facilities to US and to their allies mean King Abdullah declaring himself a certified traitor and child butcher. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Jordanian forces are blocking Al Qaeda and ISIS rats from entering there also to stop refugees going into Jordan , this will be a cake walk like I said about this region. Idlib civilians are starting to evacuate to government held areas Tribal leaders fully support Assad they can take 2000 a day due to possible infiltrations all have to be checked.

Sinbad2

Jordan didn’t really have a choice, they either had to submit to US/Israeli rule, or get turned into Libya Iraq Syria Yemen etc etc.

Rob

King Abdullah of Jordan has many options. He could buy oil and gas from Syria, Iraq and Iran instead of buying from Israel. He could increase their forests and agricultural land to grow their own food products instead beg for aid. He could develop Dames, rivers and cannals network in his country then everything will be alright. He and his cabinet’s ministers should not make assets outside Jordan because that would be in other regimes control.

SFC Steven M Barry USA RET

Defections are a good thing.

Drogba

Trump will be leaving Syria sooner than he planned, or he must have a few trillion of dollars to squander, just like in Iraq, AfghanistanI etc.

Sinbad2

I think the US has maxed out its credit card, and is already pulling back, whilst pretending to advance. The trade war Trump has started, could be a cover for a default on US debt.

Smaug

Judging by the details, these guys kept their weapons. So they switched sides, changing their rhetoric and coming under Assad’s control in name only. It is noteworthy that many of the pro-government militias are like this in the way that they have their own turf and their own rules, and that more and more the SAA is functioning as a paramilitary force within a paramilitary force, and that the Tiger Forces serve the same function as Napoleon’s Imperial Guard.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

You need to understand without the US backing them they had an easy choice as the US also refused support against ISIS/Al Qaeda and their allies in the region. They are fully reconciled but willingly want to fight against their real enemies Ameritard camel piss drinkers(Saudis, Turks)LOL!

Sinbad2

Does any of that matter? The important thing is that now they point their weapons at the real enemy, the US and Israel.

Smaug

How effective would a street gang be if they were working for a corrupt police department? . The map may turn red but it represents no change in human conditions or an increase in the SAA fighting capacity. In theory it is possible for all Rebels to “surrender” like this but the war as we currently know it would go on with SAA units fighting each other.

World_Eye

Your time has come you Neo-Zionists terror motherfuckers… Ah the Zionists regime now doesn’t know what to do, and they even saying they will invade Gaza with ground force…Idiots, Morons, you are keeping daesh right on your border to the end, keeping an Ace in you sleeve. Well don’t worry that Those Aces that you Zionists are stacking up will go away just LIKE THAT with Royal Flush. When SAA and Russia will clean them once and for all. Hey just imagine the United Snakes are threatening to Syria with DON’T ATTACK THE FSA IN THE SOUTH, Daraa etc., who the fuck you think you are to tell the Syrian Army whom to attack in its own borders you neo-anglo screws. Now it is Daraa/South Syria to be clean once and for all, then At-Tanf and after that, the all dogs on one place the IDLIBISTAN will be on its way. That’s it people only these 3 places are left with US terrorism in Syria. The South-West Daraa and to the borders, the South-Border At-Tanf and to the borders and the North-West the very Idlib. As for the Kurds I still believe that the best cure for them is Turkey, but Turkey plays both sides, or Triple sides.
