The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) suffered from heavy losses on August 15 while repelling the militants’ attack on the town of Sukayk and its hilltop in southeastern Idlib, videos released by the National Front for Liberation (NFL) revealed.
The videos show the Turkish-backed coalition’s fighters destroying a battle tank, a BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) and a vehicle-mounted 23mm cannon of the army with anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs).
NFL fighters usually use US-made TOW, Russian-made Kornet and Bulgarian-made Fagot and Konkurs ATGMs. All of these missiles are believed to be supplied by Turkey.
Despite suffering some losses, the SAA managed to hold onto its positions in Sukayk and its hilltop. Recent reports indicate that the army has resumed its advance in the region.

Meanwhile, discussions between Turkey, Syrian Kurds, US/Israel, NATO and Russia are almost completed as too how large a chunk of Syria will be provided as a Bufferzone between Turkey and Kurds. Syria’s government has no say, just as they had none when western powers and Russia, Turkey gave Golan Heights to Israel. Again meanwhile in Southern Syria a large triangle of land bordering Jordan and held by US/NATO and “moderate” rebels, is fast becoming a huge almost impregnable fortress as permanent infrastructure to then of millions USD flows in. Will even after regaing lands Russia Turkey and US allow them, will Syria then be free from terrorist attacks? Wanna lay odds against “NO?

dont the tank commander/crew hear a warning beeping or something when an ATGM is locking onto them, like in fighter jets?
