The Russian offensive in the Kharkiv region was almost stopped by the large reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed to theis direction. The longer the fighting continues on the northern front lines, the more the drowning of Ukrainian strategic reserves in border battles has a strategic impact on depleted Ukrainian defenses in other regions. In an attempt to decrease the threat of the major Russian breakthrough on the Donbass frontlines, the Ukrainian military command is throwing large forces in counterattacks in an attempt to end the battles in this dangerous direction. Meanwhile, the Russian army is yet to deploy the main forces prepared for offensive on Kharkiv.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine began massive counterattacks in the recent days. According to the official report by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian North group of forces repelled five counterattacks by enemy assault groups in the areas of the settlements of Liptsy and Volchansk in the Kharkiv region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reportedly included up to 215 servicemen, a tank, two armored combat vehicles, four cars, as well as two 122-mm D-30 howitzers.

The main Ukrainian counterattacks were attempted along the Volchya River in the forest industrial area in the western part of the village. So far, the have reportedly achieved no success. Meanwhile, the North group of Russian troops is storming the territory of the Aggregate Plant and the area of high-rise buildings in the center of Volchansk. The also advanced in the private sector in the east of the city.
In the Liptsy direction, Russian forces managed to break through the defense of the 42nd Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and advance in the forest areas south-east of the village of Glubokoe. The new gains pave the way for the Russian control over the highway to Liptsy.
The operation of the Ukrainian military are complicated by the constant Russian strikes in the rear areas. On June 3, numerous explosions thundered in the city of Kharkiv and in the region. An air defense system and military equipment were reportedly destroyed as a result of the strike on an industrial facility on the outskirts of Kharkiv. More successful Russian strikes reportedly destroyed Ukrainian military positions in the areas of the towns of Bogoduhov, Zmiev and Zolochev. In particular in Zmiev, at least five Russian strikes reportedly destroyed a recreation center used for accommodation of Ukrainian servicemen.

Unable to gain the military initiative, the Ukrainian command is transferring additional reinforcement to the area, including elite and experienced units. According to the latest reports, the notorious 414th separate elite battalion of strike unmanned aircraft systems, known as Ptahy Madyara, known thanks to Nazi leaders of the unit, was deployed in the Kharkiv region.
At the same time, Ukrainian media reported that the military command of the Russian North group of forces has allegedly begun to put its main reserve into battle in the Kharkiv region. According to Ukrainian sources, the main forces include the units of the 72nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 44th Army Corps. These reports are yet to be confirmed by any evidence on the battlefield. It is possible that Kiev is waging another media campaign aimed to justify the defeats of the Ukrainian army amid the upcoming Zelensky’s conference in Switzerland.
On the other hand, Russian official and military commander Apty Alaudinov reported that the Chechen Akhmat special forces were transferred to the Kharkiv direction. The Chechen forces aimed to reinforce the Russian North group of forces are already performing tasks on their new positions.

russia can end ukraine special operation when they wanted. what’s next? how can you move forward with a 50 millions+ ukraine civilians and a broken economy; that for sure will collapse russia if they take all over ukraine. so russia is acting very smart here, like a true world power they are, russia could not and will not make any bad moves, russia is playing awesome in ukraine. everything goes right like russia wanted and not what u.s.a empire and nato minions wanted.

2.economy of malorossia and novorossia will be restored as it was done after the civil war (1917-1922) and the great patriotic war (main part of the second world war). may be less heavy industry (because border region is vulnerable for strikes) and more agriculture which is very profitable + recreation (tourism). grain trade can be compared with natural gas trade, so restoration can be done for own money.

ukrainian forces struck a russian s-300/400 air defense battery in belgorod oblast likely with himars on june 1 or 2. geolocated imagery published on june 3 shows 2 destroyed launchers and a damaged command post of a russian s-300/400 air defense system in a field east of kiselyovo (just north of belgorod city).
