- On April 10, the Taliban claimed that it had shot down a B-52 strategic bomber of the US Air Force in the Washir district. By April 11, the downed B-52 strategic bomber had evolved into an “airplane”. Most likely, the Taliban claims are refering to a NATO UAV, which crashed in the area;
- The Taliban claimed that 10 police officers in the Bagh Pul area of Farah city had defected to the movement;
- Clashes between the Taliban and pro-government forces were reported in the Sangcharak area;
- 8 pro-government fighters were reportedly killed in a Taliban attack in the Maqur district.
