A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- At least 13 pro-government fighters were killed in a Taliban attack on their outpost in the vicinity of Qala-e-Naw city, the center of Badghis province, on April 23 evening. 10 more pro-government fighters are missing;
- The Defense Ministry says that 98 service members were killed, 70 were wounded and 10 are missing as a result of Taliban attacks in the period from April 18 to April 24;
- The Taliban says that 3 government troops surrendered to the Taliban in the Alasay district of Kapisa province;
- 23 government troops have surrendered to the Tabliban in Kunduz city over the past month, the group claims.
