- Government forces expanded anti-Taliban operations across Ghor province ahead of the presidential election;
- At least 6 civilians were released from a Taliban prison in a special operation in the Giro district, Ghazni province;
- The Taliban seized the Qurghan district, Faryab province;
- The Taliban killed 12 government troops and destroyed 4 vehicles in the Khakrez district, Kandahar province, the group claimed.
