- On December 21, forces loyal to Ahmad Massoud attacked Taliban fight in the Kaftar Khana area of Andarab district. Four Taliban member were killed;
- On December 21, border clashes between the Taliban and Pakistani forces were reported in the Laalpour of Nangarhar province;
- On December 21, the Pakistani Army attacked the Shiltan area of Kunar province with artillery.
