A brief overview of the recent overview of Afghanistan:
- At least 7 soldiers were killed in a Taliban attack on a checkpoint in the Dawlat Abad district of Balkh province;
- At least 3 people were killed and 7 others were wounded in an explosion at a funeral ceremony in the Dawlat Shah district of Laghman province;
- A US soldier was killed in a Taliban attack on a US military convoy in the Char Dara district of Kunduz province.
