A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- Authorities claimed that 30 Taliban members had surrendered to government forces in the Chishti Sharif district of Herat province;
- 12 civilians were killed and 2 homes were destroyed in airstrikes in the Gul Tapa district, Kunduz province, the Taliban reported;
- According to the Taliban, up to 12 civilians were killed or wounded in airstrikes in the Deh Joz area of Tarinkot city.
