A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- A police vehicle was destroyed, a civilian was killed and 4 others were injured in an IED blast in Kabul;
- At least 20 people were injured in an explosion of grenades during a weeding in the Alisher district of Khost Province;
- A military helicopter made a hard landing in the district of Kajaki, Helmand province, according to government sources. The Taliban says that the helicopter was shot down;
- According to the Taliban, over 20 government troops were killed in clashes across Sar-e Pol province.
