A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- US forces recovered the remains of two personnel from a E-11A military aircraft that crashed in Ghazni province, the Pentagon says;
- At least 15 government troops were killed in a Taliban attack on a base in the Dasht-e-Archi district of Kunduz province;
- The Taliban attacked police checkpoints in the Nachain Kamerband area of Tarin Kowt. According to the group, 11 police officers were killed and 4 others were injured;
- The Taliban claimed that 17 soldiers were killed in the Pol-e-Khomri district, Baghlan province.
