A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- The Taliban reportedly conducted a car bomb attack on government forces’ base in the Shargha area of the Khakrez district, Kandahar province. No casualties were reported by pro-government sources. The Taliban claimed that over 60 government troops were killed;
- At least 5 people were killed by National Directorate of Security forces during an operation in Kabul, local sources claimed;
- Pro-government sources claim that 13 Taliban members were killed in intra-Taliban clashes in the Nad Ali district, Helmand province.
