A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- At least 3 government troops including an officer were killed and 3 more were wounded in an IED attack on their vehicle in the Shoortipa district of Balkh province, the Taliban said;
- 3 government troops were killed in Taliban attacks in the Khas Balkh district of Balkh province, according to the Taliban;
- A soldier was killed by Taliban forces in the Sholgara district of Balkh province;
- 4 soldiers were killed and 3 more were wounded in the Taliban attack on government forces’ base in the Chamtal district of Balkh province;
- Tajikitan and Afghanistan signed an agreement on the building of a railway between the two countries.
