A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- A heavy explosion targeted Kabul city killing one person and wounding 65 others;
- A Taliban infiltrator attacked government troops at a check point in the Zarhi district, Kandahar province. The Taliban media wing claimed that 7 pro-government fighters had been killed;
- The Taliban attacked 2 check points in the Thaywara district, Ghor province killing 3 soldiers and wounding 2 others, the group said;
- The Taliban seized an armoured vehicle in the Kakarano China area of Qalat city;
- The Taliban seized 2 facilities and a check point in the Imam Sahib district, Kunduz province. According to the Taliban, 23 pro-govenrment fighters were captured.
