A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- Sohail Shaheen, a spokesman for the Taliban, said US forces have carried out drones strikes in “non-combat zone” in Helmand, Zabul and Ghazni provinces. He said that the US violated the Doha agreement;
- The National Security Council has announced that 50 more Taliban prisoners were released. The total number of released Taliban members is now over 4,000;
- The Shahin 209 military corps said that 32 Taliban members were killed in counter-attacks launched by government forces via land and air in the provinces of Balkh, Faryab and Sar-e-Pol in the past 24 hours.
