A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- Five police officers and five civilians were wounded in two consecutive explosions in Mazar-e Sharif city;
- According to the Defense Ministry of Afghanistan, at least 13 Taliban fighters were killed in Sarband and Yakhchal areas in the Grishk district;
- A civilian was killed, at least eight security force members and two civilians were wounded during clashes between the Taliban and security forces in Herat province;
- The Taliban claimed that it released 732 members of government security forces since the start of the prisoner swap process to facilitate the intra-Afghan talks.
