On July 24, Afghan Army repelled Taliban attack on the Salma Dam in east of Herat province.
On July 23, Afghan Army captured Karukh in Herat province.
On July 23, US aircraft attacked Taliban positions near Kandahar city.
On July 23, US aircraft attacked Taliban positions in the Helmand province.
262 Taliban militants were killed and 176 were wounded as a result of Afghan Army operations in Laghman, Nangarhar, Nuristan, Kunar, Ghazni, Paktia, Kandahar, Herat, Balkh, Jowzjan, Helmand, Kunduz and Kapisa provinces during the last 24 hours, according to the Afghan MOD.
