• On July 2, Taliban captured Wayand, the Shah Wali Kut district center in Kandahar province
• On July 2, Taliban reportedly captured the Zurmat district center in Paktia province
• On July 2, Taliban reportedly captured the districts center of Tagab and Tashkan in Badakhshan province.
• On July 2, clashes between Taliban and Afghan Army were reported in south of Ghourian town in Herat province.
• 228 Taliban militants were killed and 116 others were wounded as a result of Afghan Army operations in Logar, Paktika, Kandahar, Herat, Badghis, Farah, Balkh, Helmand & Kapisa provinces during the last 24 hours, according to the Afghan MOD
