- Ashraf Ghani has granted the highest army rank of ‘Marshal’ to his former vice-president Abdul Rashid Dostum;
- According to the Afghan Ministry of Defense, 7 roadside IEDs were discovered in Zabul;
- One Afghan intelligence soldier was killed and two others were wounded when a roadside IED exploded in the Sayed Karam district of Paktia province.
