- The Defense Ministry claimed that airstrikes had killed 9 Taliban commanders and wounded 12 group members in the province of Logar;
- At least 30 pro-government fighters were killed in an attack by the Taliban in the Nahrin district, Baghlan province;
- At least 8 police officers were killed and 18 others were injured in clashes in the Gulran district, Herat province. Pro-government sources say that 10 Taliban members were killed;
- At least 20 pro-government fighters were killed in the Takhta Pol district, Kandahar province, the Taliban claimed.
