A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- The Interior Ministry reported 32 Taliban attacks in 15 provinces during the past day. Two civilians and five security force members were reportedly killed;
- The Taliban reported no attacks on government forces during the past day;
- Afghan authorities prepared to release 1,500 Taliban members from prisons in the framework of the US-Taliban peace deal.
