A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- At least 3 people were killed and 31 others were wounded in an explosion at a ceremony of Farmer’s Day at a local stadium in the city of Lashkargah, Helmand province;
- 2 US service members were killed in action, according to the Pentagon. No location of the incidents or identities of the casualties were revealed;
- The Taliban claimed that 5 foreign troops and 3 Afghan commandos had been killed in Kunduz province;
- Clashes between Kabul forces and teh Taliban continue in Faryab province, near the Turkmenistan border.
