A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- The Taliban attacked Kunduz city from several directions attempting to capture it, pro-government sources claimed. According to them, 40 Taliban members were killed and 50 others were wounded in the failed attack;
- At least 9 government troops were killed and 6 others were wounded in clashes with the Taliban in Lala Guzar village of the Khwaja Bahauddin district, Takhar province;
- Unidentified gunment stormed a mosque in the Taliban-held village of Khalal Zayee, Parwan province. At least 7 people were kileld and 12 others were wounded;
- Taliban forces killed 2 government troops and captured 5 others in the Nahrin district of Baghlan province, the group says.
