A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- The government reportedly released about 100 Taliban prisoners from the Pul-e-Charkhi Prison in Kabul as a part of the US-Taliban peace deal;
- The Taliban claimed that 40 civilian houses were destroyed by government forces in the Jaram district of Badakhshan province;
- According to the Taliban 2 civilians were killed in shelling by government forces in the Girda Chiri district of Paktia province.
