Territory controlled by the US-backed Kabul government is rapidly shrinking under the pressure from the Taliban. Recently, Commander of Resolute Support Mission US Forces in Afghanistan Gen. Austin Scott Miller has publicly admitted that the Taliban cannot be defeated militarly despite the 17 years of the war. In fact, the US-led bloc and the Kabul government are on retreat in multiple fronts in the war-torn country.
