A brief overview of the recent developments:
- A soldier was killed and 2 others were wounded in a blast at a market in the Alasay district, Kapisa province. 10 civilians were also wounded;
- 6 Taliban members were killed and 4 others were wounded in clashes in the Charbolak district, Balkh province, according to pro-government sources. The same reports said that 4 police officers were killed;
- The Afghan Border Forces were put on a high alert in the Narai district in Kunar province after a cross-border mortar exchange with Pakistan.
