A brief overview of the recent developments in Afghanistan:
- At least four security forces members were killed and six more were wounded in Taliban attacks in different areas in the northern province of Baghlan in the last 24 hours, according to Afghan security sources;
- The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) said that the Taliban violence increased by 50% in the past three months compared to the previous period;
- On November 7, an IED blast killed at least three civilians in Kabul. Taliban has not claimed responsibility for the attack;
- On November 8, clashes between Taliban and Afghan forces were reported in the Maywand area;
- On November 8, 2 civilians were killed by an IED explosion in the Ghor area.
