- The Defense Ministry announced that its forces had cleared the Dahna-e-Ghori district, Baghlan province from the Taliban;
- Government troops arrested a “key al-Qaeda member” the Khanshin district, Helmand province, the provincial governor’s media office reported. 15 Pakistani IDs and weapons were reportedly seized on the site;
- At least 18 governemnt troops were killed and 5 more were wounded in the Khwaja Ghar district, Takhar province, the Taliban claimed;
- The Taliban killed 9 government troops and seized several pieces of military equipment in the Kushki Kuhna district, Herat province, the group claimed.
