- 3,300 civilians were killed and over 14,600 others were wounded as a result of the ongoing Afghan conflict during the past 12 months, the country’s Health Ministry reported;
- At least three NATO servicemembers were wounded in an attack by a supposed Taliban infiltrator in Kandahar;
- The Taliban announced that its forces had captured two checkpoints in the Jalriz district of Wardak province. 2 pro-government fighters were reportedly killed.
