- Pakistani military cross-border shelling killed at least 3 persons in the Shultan district, Kunar province;
- An IED explosion killed 2 members of a local pro-government militia in the the Said Karam, Paktia province;
- Government troops repelled a Taliban attack in their check points in the Darah Sof Payan district, Samangan province;
- The Taliban strormed the Washir district center and its Police HQ, Helmand province;
- Clashes between the Taliban and government forces erupted in the districts of Ahmad Khel district, Khair Kot and Sabri, Khost province. According to the Taliban, at least 13 government troops were killed.
