Offensives mean casualties. Nobody moves, nobody gets hurt. Anything less than the Russians being driven back to the 2014 pre-US coup borders constitutes a massive Ukrainian failure, which is what we see every single day. It’s nine years now since the coup and the ATO ethnic cleansing operation in Donbas. The Ukraine was not admitted to the EU, millions of citizens have fled or become Russians, tens of thousands, perhaps now hundreds of thousands, have died, and the entire population is traumatized and laden with permanent, usurious debt. All to maintain US hegemony and prevent the economic integration of Germany and lesser European vassals with Russia and China. Glory to the Banderite statesmen! Glory to OUN-B statecraft!

Why are you getting downvotes? It’s obvious that this is happening, unless Russia can actually win and drive them out. But then, Moscow seems to be way too much contaminated with them for that to happen.
The Russians only move forward when they know they suffer less casualties than UAF. They also only advance now when the enemy is severely depleted. The so called Pause in Ugledar isn’t much a loss of initiative either. The grouping that was attacking it was relatively small and caused a huge diversion of UAF resources. Russian Army is making gains in the North and Bakhmut still against the bulk of the UAF forces
