I wish the maps had sharply contrasting colors. Red and red-brown make it hard to see fine details.

The zoom brings up a lot of nice details. Much easier to read than your typical star map?

Still a brainwashed troll?

They are making ISIS divert forces from the DE area, for if they were to be defeated and withdraw they would shorten their defensive lines. If ISIS shorten their lines they will make it harder for the SAA to advance along the river. This way it keeps ISIS lines stretched thin and easier to overcome and advance forward. So T2 they are not going to waste lives needlessly when it is an obvious tactic like this has weakened their ability to defend.

Graeme Rymill

Field Marshal Terra Cotta Woolpuller has spoken! As per usual he gets it wrong. Taking T2 would directly threaten Bukamal. This would further divert ISIS resources from Deir Ezzor and stretch them even thinner.
