On Monday, Syrian government forces liberated Masadah, Al-Rish and Rasm Al-Naqah villages from ISIS in the eastern countryside of Salamiyah, north of the Homs-Palmyra highway.
An intense fighting was reported in the area across the pocket as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued pressuring ISIS members on multiple frontlines.
Last weekend, reports appeared that the Syrian military re-deployed some units of the SAA Tiger Forces to eastern Hama. However, it is not clear if these units are sent to participate in the operation against ISIS or to defend positions in northern Hama from Al-Qaeda attacks.
Yes they have lost the gun runners at the Syrian – Lebanese border , they are certainly trying to hang on to these guys .
