The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), supported by Russian fighter jets and helicopter gunships, is developing advances against the ISIS terrorist group in the provinces of Raqqa and Homs.
- The first and most expected target is the Tabaqa military airport in Western Raqqa. Following the modern course of events, the SAA will be able to seize the airport next week.
- The second target is the city of Deir Ezzor where SAA units are besieged by ISIS militants. However, a significant resistance by ISIS militants won’t allow to expect that the siege could be lifted in the nearest future.
