It is a mess, but look at it this way if The Russians get Yampil and Solodar then its over for those in Sevrod and surrounding areas. It will take a few weeks ( several) but they will be finished. After which the front would not have that 300km bulge. Concentration of Russian forces will then be in a better depth should they decided to move on any other areas.
