It wasn’t successful. Kiev government acknowledged it, along with them creating a new law allowing the use non-military units against russian forces along the line of contact. Kiev officially acknowledged they cannot counter attack in their present condition, and require heavy weaponry to strike deep behind the lines in order to inflict as much damage as possible against the Russians. Essentially, Kiev is acknowledging they lost the hopes of any major offensive operations, something which has been mentioned by several western military leaders and even governments.
