There is no mood for a Minsk III agreement and no trust in Russian intentions, only in their weakened capabilities to hurt Ukraine in the future.

We hear reports in the news, and nobody believes each other’s media, those who don’t want their actions reported on, discredit the msm, along with those who just want to gain views and make a buck. In 8 years of fighting in the Donbas 15000 people have been killed. of these 3200 were civilians the remainder being combatants of both sides. A ratio of 3:1 Soldiers: Civilians Looking at civilian deaths in similar other non-genocidal conflicts Chechnya 1:10 S:C, Iraq 2:1, Vietnam 1:1, and NATO in Yugoslavia 1:1 Donbas 3:1 Donbas civilian to combatant ratio is better than the other conflict with only 1 civilian dying per 3 combatants. ID say the number don’t show a genocide. We can also go a little deeper: In 2021 there were 112 civilian deaths in Donbas. Ethnic Russians make up about 39% of the population of the Donbas, and Ethnic Ukrainians 57%. The Russian Language is spoken by 74% of the people in the Donbas, as ethnic Ukrainians would need to learn Russian to work or go to school, but even though they speak Russian they Identify as being ethnically Ukrainian. So these 112 dead civilians, are counted from the both sides of conflict. Assuming 39% were Russians that leaves us with 43 Dead Russians in 2021 or 7 killed every two months. Hardly an efficiently ran Genocide. Even if all the dead were Russians, 112 out of 2.3mil ethnic Russians. Not a genocide more Russian men, 25% will drink themselves to death by age 55, or around 5300 per year in the Donbas will drink themselves to death! Putin unleashed a terrible war for both Russians and Ukrainians in the name of this genocide. In two months, he has killed 10-20,000 Russian Soldiers. And surprisingly, (looking at Mariupol) only 3000 civilians. So, in two months Putin has Killed 2000X more Russians then would otherwise have died. The separatist war in the Donbas could have gone on, status quo for another 130 years and not as many Russians would have died as Putin has caused to be killed in two months by invading.

You are right, situation on the front do not look good at all for Russia. It is transforming into a war of atrition, that Ukraine, due to western land-lease and popular mobilisation might win in the long term. Even if Russia continues to inflict disproportionate military casualties, Ukraine apparently is willing to take it… after all, they view the war as existential and are willing to go to the end. On the other hand, in Russia once the number of dead will go beyond 15-20 000, they will face massive internal problems. In a way, it is worying, because Putin knows to well these things and in disperation might resort to using WMDs as a last resort. It will end very, very badly…

Further I see slow grind of Ukraine military in Donbas no need to rush just pound them with rockets , artillery and aviation until they die or give up. When this war is over, Ukraine will have less than 20 million people and it will be landlocked. I’m sure Putin loves the Russian speaking Ukrainians and will do whatever it takes in his power to protect them. He has behaved very graciously toward the Nazis. I’m really very surprised.
It looks like there are finally some developments on the front: Velyka Novosilka is going to fall in the south and Ukro forces will be in a cauldron near Donetsk until the city is deblocked. Also in the north if Barvinkove falls the Ukro position will be very difficult. Eventually both pincers should join together and encircle all Ukro forces in the East. Unless Ukros managed to organize some major counter offensive Russians are going to grind them until the entire frontline collapse.
It is waaaay to early to see a cauldron coming. The AFU will try to block the offensives and the russians will have to storm and take evey defence line and keep an eye an their flanks. It is now a matter of attrition and willpower .
Russians forces are mobile, ukros are not.
