Russian forces have just entered Ukraineβs second-biggest power plant northeast of Donetsk, according to a British intelligence report. They now control the light switch to Kiev and all of western Ukraine.

The CAA of the Kherson region reports a new attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack the Antonovsky bridge in Kherson. 12 HIMARS missiles were fired – all were shot down by Russian defences around the bridge and new pontoon bridge constructed by Russian combat engineers.
Russiaβs superior HIMARS equivalent: Tornado-S MLRS destroys a Ukrainian ammo depot using a 9M542 guided rocket. It uses GNSS (GLONASS) and to guide itself to the target. The warhead weighs 250kg and the missile itself has a max range of 120km.

Definitely not in favour of the Ukraine at this time. The HIMARS are causing minor material damage in comparison to the barrage Russia unleashes every night. In comparison, a few depots have been destroyed. These locations largely contained artillery ordinances and rockets. There was also a large amount captured equipment stored in these depots. The HIMARS are largely used to hut soft targets in civilian targets and infrastructure. The idea is to use them to hurt the civilian population, instill fear and cause mass panic that will deteriorate the political position internally within the breakaway republics. As for the pause, this is likely a shuffle of the troops. Russia is rotation troops constantly and letting them rest when they achieve their objectives. The Ukrainians do not have this luxury. There will be no major Ukrainians offensive. They tried to launch a major counter attack the other day. This resulted in major losses against a an inferior force that was greatly outnumbered, and arguable out gunned in the region. The problem is the Ukrainians lack experienced soldiers, effective command and Cooperation between infantry, mechanized, and artillery. This war if draining the west more than Russia. If it lasts until winter, then Ukraine will have a tough choice as it will be difficult for them to maintain their lines. The Russians have a strong grasp of Winter offensives, and would be most likely used to launch an attack in the south as the Ukrainians will not be able to launch an offensive in the east or north under winter conditions while the Russians dig in. In essence, the Russians will most likely be able to pull significant forces off the north and eastern front and focus on the south while Ukrainians won’t be able to do the same. Unless you count throwing conscripts with minimal (if any) training and equipment at the Russian Southern Group
Looks like the Russians are more interested in the destruction of the AFU than the conquest of property.
The Russians are wounding or killing over 1000 troops a day, destroying 100s of pieces of military equipment a day and more than a billion dollars πΈ in infrastructure each day of Ukraine with artilary and missles.

Why is Russia playing with Zelensky’s regime army instead of saturating their military strongholds with napalm, thermobarics etc? 3000 soviet artillery pieces firing 24/7 soviet shells which they have an abundance of anyway and while the enemy is on constant shell fire, use their quickest IFVs and flamethrowers to approach the enemy, then mop, then relocate one third of cannons closer to the objective to push forward, then second third, etc.

The military situation in eastern Ukraine is that the Putin cockroaches are reduced to launching terrorist attacks against the civilian population. They’re not doing anything else. Vladimir Putin has to pretend that he’s fighting a war and hitting targets even if that means destroying civilian infrastructure and murdering innocent civilians. Otherwise he would have nothing to show for it.
