There’s no more roads to escape from Severodonetsk and Lisishansk.
I believe that Russian forces need to capture Liman properly pushing off AFU from the vicinity or eliminate it totally in the area to cut off the last connection of Lisichansk with the outside world.
Liman (Lyman) is not going to be as simple to capture. Kiev’s forces are un the south western area of the city. The area is known for its railyard and warehouses. Furthermore, the western flank of the city is more or less elevated. It will most certainly slow the Russians down, especially if they take the city as the mop up will take days and possibly weeks depending on the number of Kievs troops in the area.
And I think it doesn’t matter, just entomb them and wait for the inevitable.

I believe this is correct. Looking at the map each small capture has led toward a more sizable capture, alternating south side of the developed/developing cauldron to the north side. North side Liman is now the active target for bigger capture. AFU losing it will make large supply delivery to the AFU in the east/Severodonetsk much more limited. But the AFU can read a map too and probably have put their best troops in to Liman, they will be heavily and expertly dug in as well as nestled in civilian areas, and AFU will have or have taken out bridges. They’ll make nothing easy for RF. Ultimately if we hear Liman has fallen, the end is in sight for AFU in Severodonetsk and others in the east. If it’s in a week that suggests AFU gave up rather than die. If it is a month then we’ll know AFU fought on every street corner.
To be correct, the main logistical roads are under complete fire control. That said, there are dozens of roads connecting Kievs forces in the gaps not controlled by Russian forces. Many of these roads also travel through dense woodland, making it difficult to track small convoys and individual units. Furthermore, saboteur groups are still active in the regions controlled by Russian forces. Likewise, this map doesn’t represent complete control, as small units from both sides operate at depth behind the front lines. Supplies still make it to the Kiev forces in the east, just under greater stress and less efficiently. The cauldron rough will most likely be closed by Friday or Saturday as things are proceeding. There are lots of reports of Ukraine forces withdrawing from around and north of Bilohorivka, which is not a significant town in any sense aside from it being on the main road to Severodonetsk. Not highly defensible, but a necessary step on the way.
That is if you use the main roads as only RF are stupid enough to do. Plenty of country roads to resupply.
