Russia keeps grinding away, and that is the way it needs to continue unabating until the new reality is accepted on the ground that Ukraine will be only allowed to exist in a form when it agrees to peace for the areas that have been liberated by Russia. At the end of the day that could mean the whole of the east and south lost to Ukraine or even Ukraine disappears as a whole. It’s really up to Ukraine, as Russia cannot and will not ever be in the mood for accepting continued genocide of the Ukrainian Nazis against what were their own people, or a severe security risk to Russia. The west are of course stoking the conflict to kill both Ukrainians and Russians. However, the reality is the west is not going to risk their homesteads. So the only decision for Ukraine is how many of their citizens are to be sacrificed and how much of their land for western interests!

This dance to an armistice is being mis-played by Putin. He needs to declare a concise demand:Luhansk, Donetsk and Crimea, as occupied 2/23/22. That’s it. Europe will force it upon Ukraine.

The MLRS are soon to be deployed on the Ukrainian side. Russian losses will escalate rapidly. Ukrainian resolve will likewise be fortified.

Don’t ask too much, and make an acceptable demand loudly and publicly. A glance at the map shows that even without the MLRS the UA is able to exact much loss on RF for ever cm of gain.

Cut to the chase seen now!

vietnam

is it a good thing for ukraine to exist? you know zalensky is a jew, not ukrainian.

here is another thing: what if russia used airpower and just devastated and destroyed all the cities in ukraine like yanquis do and then just walked in.

russians are not fighting ukrainians. they are fighting jews.

I hope so. But the photos where Putin appears to be best friends with the Jews, are scaring me.

squeeth

Fuck off you antisemitic twat.

Josh

Sorry Jon, but there’s simply NO WAY that Russia would agree to anything EVEN REMOTELY resembling what you describe. In case you haven’t noticed, Russia has been majorly WINNING of late. The last few towns have actually fallen rapidly, indicating that UKR resolve is crumbling.

As for this or that new Western weapon system supposedly being a big “game changer,” well, we’ll believe that when we see it! We’ve heard that several times before, but it simply hasn’t happened!

Oh, and it’s Lugansk, with a G, not “Luhansk.”

Antonio

Jon- a wunderwaffe agent. You do not have ANY military experience, don’t ya? Playing war video games is not considered military experience, are you aware of that. Famous MLRS that will overturn the situation in NATO’s…errr..Ukrainian favour. Sure. Of course. Betchya.

RealityOfWar

The analysis of these weapon systems so called coming from the west, lacks some basic Logic. Russia in building out its armed services, would have done it meticulously against known potential adversaries equipment. I assure you that is the way it works. Russia, just like NATO and US will have found out as much as possible about the opponents weaponry and then made sure they can counter it. Basically Russia knows about all these systems and is dimensioned with plans and equipment to counter them – basically to take on NATO and the US. All these weapons are well understood by Russia. Additionally Russia is conducting a special operation with a fraction of the forces that it has dimensioned to face NATO…. What does this all mean – well 1. It means Ukraine is being misled, it is just being bled out as a tool to cause Russia trouble – being a useful idiot. 2. It means Russia is ready for NATO and these weapons, because it has designed equipment and approach to deal with them. The reality – Russia has to and will deal with new weapons as and when they appear according to the planned countermeasures and approach. Indeed Russia will use the minimum level of equipment as they go, in order to leave headroom to deal with eventualities of other western weapons coming into the theatre.

Vietnam, Josh, Antonio, and ROW, I am not talking tactics. I’m talking strategy. Putin should cash in his chips now. In order to do so he has to offer a compromise. The compromise I suggest would motivate most of EU to demand that Ukraine accept. Ukraine, Poland, the Baltics, UK and USA would resist such a resolution. The resulting split would weaken the western alliance. If the war ended on these terms Putin could claim a victory.

squeeth

How many miracle weapons have been tried and failed by the US-Ukronazis?

Geronimo

Your heads must really hurt? That is when there is only a small fraction of your brain is engaged, and the rest was dead on arrival. Poor sods. Now get out of bed you busted arses and join the real world.

Christopher

The MLRS’s will go the same way as those Italian FH70’s.

Brewster

Rubbish! The Russians will do with the MLRS exactly what they did/doing to the M777’s. Get some real info.

N.N.

I’d like to see Russia taking the entire south coast, including Odessa, and in the North, all territory including at least Charkov. In my opinion, this seems to be the way to both secure some important Russian supplies, and to stave some of the “ambitions” of NATO. But with all the newly announced weapons shipments, I am not sure on whose side time actually is. Like you, I am afraid that time might be playing in favour of the West.

RealityOfWar

I certainly think there is some very natural geography to Ukraine to project partition lines onto. The East (all of it falls under that hat). Then certainly extending to take the whole south would be useful, however, leaving Ukraine with no black sea outlet would be something that would be worth fighting for, for Ukraine. I don’t pretend to understand Russian thinking. It is in a different league and built over 1000s of years practical experience. It seems to be an agile technique of do learn and adapt, but even that is a guess on my part

Brewster

Agree with the former in your post but feel Putin was always ready/prepared for the long haul and air superiority will always beat ground artillery/MLRS as they are doing now.

squeeth

No, the US makes the decisions. Anyway, what’s the point in retreating, it means abandoning 8 years worth of defensive positions. Where can the Ukronazis retreat to that will be more tenable?

Wizzy

They look to be taking their time, this ain’t about Ukrainian resistance no more. They also seem to take it easy on weekends, ”savage” Russians on vacation at the frontlines.

Jasonovich

It’s important to have the foreplay before the climax. The Russians are playing the war of Attrition, everything will be alright on the night and the lady will be most happy.

Georgeous George

In the past two months the Russian Army annihilated close to 50,000 Ukie soldiers. Its not necessarily about gain of space, its about demolishing the opponent army. Not so difficult to understand

Gomzi

Yeah right , ok , we’ll see next weekend than how the things will be but i bet 1000eur the SF will show us almoust about the same map , this is fighting like in the 1.WW positional in trenches with almoust no moveing

Georgeous George

That is correct. The Ukes had eight years to prepare and build their fortifications. So you wont smash that in a couple of days. But in a couple of weeks.

Josh

Ukraine is a rather large territory – about the size of the US state of Texas, so a shift in the front-lines of, say 15km looks small on the larger map, but pushing through 15km of heavy enemy fortifications is VERY significant! Keep in mind that Ukraine spent the past eight years heavily fortifying the Donbass region, and stationing most of their best troops there.

Georgeous George is correct though – the most relevant factor in this sort of war is the attrition of soldiers and equipment – i.e. how many enemy troops killed or taken prisoner (or deserted), how many enemy weapons destroyed or captured. WWI was similar, as many of the major battles involved only small amounts of shifting territory. After the war, many Germans couldn’t believe their side had lost, as most of the fighting was outside German territory, but the Germany army was being ground down there in France and Belgium, just as Ukraine’s is right now in the Donbass.

10 Dead Generals

You said it well, Russian and Ukrainian military are so similar that became a WW1 type of war with each km meaning a lot.

Brewster

Not to mention the weapons they have demolished.

Muhammad your Prophet

The Putin cockroaches are stranded at the Myr Hotel in Severdonetsk and encircled. The hotel is being besieged. Let the Putin terrorists stay there a little longer and enjoy their stay. And cut off the room service. Maybe they’ll starve to death. They’ll finally learn how it feels.

Russia is sending T62 to the front. That will make a difference.

Disinfo

It would appear that the Ukrainian retreat routes for the far eastern pocket is now closed. I suspect they may be able to take backroads, but they would have to abandon their heavier weapons and equipment. They simply waited too long. Has anyone heard if any of their troops Lischansk?

thoughtful

The Ukrainians who are making the big decisions do not care about sacrificing human lives, not even of the Ukrainian army. They DO care about losing land. They will not have any Ukrainians left to defend the rest of Ukraine. So Ukraine thinks it is fighting to hold onto the Donbas regions and it wants to regain Crimea. They should be losing more than men, more than money, more than material goods by continued fighting. Russia should tell them that it will take a larger piece of Ukraine than it had originally intended, as they would not allow the people of the Donbas to live in peace, as they refused to allow Russia to take it back, without having to fight tooth and nail for it. Ukraine should be given the ultimatum, give up all of this territory with no more loss of lives or Russia will declare WAR on Ukraine. After getting the Donbas regions under control, the Ukrainians will be so defeated that it should be a relative cinch to get the rest of the country. Would a declaration of war against Ukraine and actually going to war against Ukraine mean that it would make life any harder for Russians or for the Donbass? Would it be possibly EASIER. More missiles can be fired at more targets all over the country and THAT should keep Ukraine very very busy and hurt them more. It is worthwhile looking at. Let there be more drones to take the flack. Waging war with drones is so much safer. More drones Russia more drones.

A razor thrust south through the eastern half of Siversk and about 2km south of its outskirts may make their already vulnerable supply lines to this part of the front even much more troublesome. The Ukrops in the Lyman-Popasnaya-Severdonetsk cauldron will be fucked with no real resupply.
