Yes, but I assume Putin doesn t see it that way. For his masters too they not see it that bad. Russia has enough territory. So in Putin’s eyes everything goes exactly to the plan. The fanatic pro-Putin writers in this forum here still wonder why Putin not crushes the Zelensky regime, why he lied the young russian troops into this war by telling them they are just going on a “training mission near the ukrainian border” when in fact he sent them over the border and directly into a hornets-nest of armed-to-the-teeth anti-communists, why he waited full 8 years with his invasion and till Ukraine was fully up-armoured and its military steelhardend, US-trained and up-armed and up-ammunitioned to the teeth, moreover why he invaded with just that small completely insufficient number of troops etc. etc.??? For six months the SVO was stalled and yet Putin did nothing. We all watched one report after another about Ukrop troop buildups and arm supplies from the West and Putin did nothing. After the Ukrop were allowed to bring all the troops and supplies to the front the Ukrop attacked and took back 1/3 of what the LNR/DNR fought six months to obtain. Now Putin does a limited half ass mobilization and still no positive results are seen, instead we are being prepared for more major retreats. Why do people on this site like Putin?
In part I agree with you that the SMO is too lame from the Russian side. But to blame alone on Putin, no. Winter is coming, things will change for the better.
So it looks like Elon Musk was right when he taunted Peskov about the state of things in Bakmut. The Starlink intel is obviously working on that front, and AFU forces have regained control on the Siniat works – forcing The Wagner Group to retreat. Would be interesting to know if the AFU forces were US/NATO Special Forces…?
