A brief overview of the recent developments in the Idlib de-escalation zone and the Afrin region:
- On March 3, Ansar al-Tawhid attacked army positions near Masasneh. 16 SAA soldiers were killed on the scene and one was captured. Later, he was expected. 6 Ansar al-Tawhid members were killed during the clashes;
- The SAA resumed preparations for military actions against militants in northern Hama and southwestern Idlib;
- Hayat Tahrir al-Sham attacked several SAA positions in northern Lattakia. 1 soldier was killed and 6 others were wounded.
